Vice President Opoku-Agyemang Honours Outgoing Palestinian Ambassador After 11 Years of Service

Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has paid glowing tribute to the outgoing Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Ghana, His Excellency Abdulfatah Ahmed Khalifa Al Sattari, describing his tenure as instrumental in strengthening relations between the two countries.

Acting on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama, the Vice President hosted a farewell meeting for the ambassador to mark the end of his eleven-year diplomatic assignment in Ghana.

The meeting was attended by Palestine’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Her Excellency Varsen Aghabekian, as well as Ghana’s Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, James Gyakye Quayson.

Professor Opoku-Agyemang commended Ambassador Al Sattari for his dedication, professionalism, and consistent efforts in promoting mutual understanding and cooperation between Ghana and Palestine throughout his long service.

She noted that his approach to diplomacy helped deepen bilateral ties and foster goodwill between the two nations, leaving a lasting legacy that would endure beyond his departure.

The Vice President expressed the government’s appreciation for the ambassador’s contribution to Ghana–Palestine relations and wished him success in his future assignments.

She also reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to maintaining the strong relationship built over the years, expressing confidence that the bonds established under Ambassador Al Sattari’s tenure would continue to flourish.
