Only the woman partner of any man can witness and can expose the imperfections or the weak human and vulnerable side of her late husband, if or when she sees it fit or necessary to do so!
So was it really necessary or edifying or appropriate or helpful to Struggling Africans for Mrs Garca Machel to break her confidentiality and her long silence at this point in time to highlight the fact that Nelson Mandela was only an imperfect mere mortal? As if anyone thought he was a perfect supernatural angel?
Of course Mandela was only a man not a perfect powerful angel and that what made him all the more remarkable and more loved and made him all the greater to fellow Africans because despite suffering many disadvantages and prolonged mistreatment over 27 years of traumatic imprisonment by the evil ruling racist apartheid regime in addition to all his other human limitations and imperfections yet he triumphed at the end and managed to overcome all his many terrible adversities and life long challenges and opposing demons and traitors to honour his life calling and to selflessly serve and deliver his oppressed long suffering people from apartheid and to serve our Mother Africa so faithfully and so eagerly with great deal of personal sacrifices and undisputed integrity till his last breath.
I would have wished this lady had honoured him and his privacy and his revered memory and kept her peace and did not feel she had to speak out to reveal the vulnerable side of her great but human late husband!
Can any human being be so perfect? No!
So Mrs Machal-Mandela Why not rather highlight the great positive aspects or his life-long sacrifices or his many great achievements specially his vital unique leadership role in defeating and ending SA’s racist oppressive apartheid and doing his best to overcome racism in his country and its many resulting racial negative consequences, of your great late husband if you felt you had to break your silence to say anything to get some attention or relevance? Sad!!
