‘My best is yet to come’ – Semenyo after joining Man City in £65m deal
Manchester City have completed the signing of Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth in a transfer valued at around £65 million.
The move marks a club-record departure for the Cherries, with City triggering Semenyo’s release clause before the Saturday deadline. The champions will pay £62.5 million spread over 24 monthly payments, with additional performance-related add-ons included.
Semenyo has put pen to paper on a deal running until 2031 and will take the number 42 shirt, previously worn by club legend Yaya Touré, a key figure in City’s three Premier League title triumphs during his time at the Etihad.
