The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and U.S. Department of Justice says Ghana’s request to extradite former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta is legitimate not a witch-hunt.

Ofori-Atta, currently in the US for medical care, is wanted by Ghana’s OSP, EOCO, and NIB over alleged financial misconduct. The OSP has declared him a fugitive after he failed to appear for questioning.

US officials confirm the case meets legal standards, clearing a major hurdle for possible extradition.
