FIFA introduces $60 Supporter Entry Tier tickets for 2026 World Cup
FIFA has unveiled a new, lower-priced ticket category for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, offering fans the chance to attend matches for as little as $60 per game under a newly created Supporter Entry Tier.
The world football governing body announced on Tuesday that the initiative is aimed at making the tournament more accessible to loyal supporters of qualified national teams. The tickets will be available for all 104 matches, including the final, at the historic tournament set to be hosted jointly by Canada, Mexico and the United States from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
According to FIFA, the Supporter Entry Tier will be exclusively reserved for fans of teams that qualify for the World Cup. Distribution will be managed by each Participating Member Association (PMA), which will determine its own eligibility rules and application procedures. FIFA has encouraged associations to prioritise genuine and long-standing supporters.
Under the revised ticket allocation system, 50 percent of each PMA’s tickets will fall under the most affordable categories. This includes 40 percent for the Supporter Value Tier and 10 percent for the new Supporter Entry Tier. The remaining allocation will be split evenly between the Supporter Standard Tier and the Supporter Premier Tier.
FIFA also introduced a refund incentive for fans whose teams fail to advance beyond the group stage. Applicants who purchase tickets through their national associations will have administrative fees waived when refunds are processed for unsuccessful applications.
The announcement comes amid overwhelming global interest in the tournament. FIFA revealed that over 20 million ticket requests have already been submitted during the ongoing Random Selection Draw sales phase, which opened on December 11, 2025. Demand surged further following the release of match schedules, venues and kick-off times.
The Random Selection Draw remains open until Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 11:00 ET (17:00 CET). FIFA has clarified that the timing of applications within this window does not affect selection chances.
Fans can apply for tickets and access detailed information through FIFA’s official ticketing platform.
FIFA reiterated that revenue generated from the World Cup is reinvested into football development worldwide. The organisation expects to channel more than 90 percent of its 2023–2026 budgeted investments back into the sport across its 211 member associations.
