Choose Values Over Vanity — Agyepong Unveils Six-Point Covenant for NPP
NPP flagbearer hopeful Kwabena Agyei Agyepong has pledged discipline, unity and youth empowerment as he intensifies his campaign ahead of the party’s January 31, 2026 primaries. Speaking at his Leadership with Integrity policy address in Accra, Mr Agyepong said Ghana had drifted from its founding vision, citing unemployment, poor sanitation, galamsey and politicisation of the public service.
He outlined a six-point covenant focused on land reform and modern agriculture, strict enforcement of planning laws, fiscal discipline and value-for-money audits, restoration of meritocracy in public service appointments, support for the informal sector, and revitalising creative arts and sports. Mr Agyepong also proposed downsizing government, judicial reforms, and a zero-tolerance stance on corruption and indiscipline, urging NPP delegates to choose “values over vanity” as the party seeks renewal.
