How much can Nana Akuffo-Addo Talks?
For a while now, the president of the republic of Ghana H.E Nana Akuffo-Addo who could be judged as an excellent orator, have made statements The Hot Seat of NSG News believe to be unnecessary.
Typical example is when his assertion about Burkina-Faso during US – African leaders summit nearly brought a diplomatic distortion between Ghana and Burkina Faso.
It was as though Mr president Nana Akoufo-Addo was reporting Burkina Faso to US secretary of state Anthony Blinken when he said “It is important we bring that matter to your notice”
The Hot Seat observed that president Nana Akuffo-Addo in attempt to boast of plans and progress of Ghana and Africa for that matter, turns to give away to much.
He consistently tells the west who is known to be economic adversary of Ghana and Africa.
The Hot Seat believes, giving away such plans prematurely gives advantage to Ghana and Africa’s economic enemies which is counterproductive.
For instance during UN 77th GA September 2022 and talks during engagement with other African and world leaders, President Nana Akuffo-Addo stated
- African leaders plan to build the worlds largest single market.
- Not to waste crisis
- African to build a continental payment system
- Ghana wants to add value to her raw materials
Refine more Gold
Process her own Cocoa
Refine and process her minerals – lithium deposits, bauxite, aluminium.
Build new oil refinery
To The Hot Seat, it is as though Mr president is seeking permission to do.
As excellent as those proposals and initiatives are, it give Ghana and Africa’s economic enemies opportunity to counter as the success of those initiatives are detrimental to the western economy and they will not sit and watch gleefully.
The fact is, the economics and economy of the west is not set up to benefit Ghana and Africa for that matter – The economy of the western world is set up with Africa in mind as raw material resource hub – period.
The Hot Seat thinks it is delusional to think the west will genuinely help Ghana and Africa to succeed economically.
Until Ghana and Africa wake up to the fact that, it has economic adversary is the person of the western world and strategise in its own right to outsmart it, socio-economic and infrastructural development will amount to nothing to ride home about.
The fact remains, only Ghana and Africa can change its own infrastructural and economic outlook.
