Afienya Robbery Ring Uncovered as Police Seize Guns, Arrest Suspects
The Ghana Police Service has arrested three suspects and recovered firearms following intelligence-led operations targeting a robbery network operating across parts of the Greater Accra Region.
The arrests were carried out between December 24 and 26, 2025, in connection with a series of robberies reported in Afienya, Atadeka, Apollonia and surrounding communities. The suspects have been identified as Seth Noi Tetteh, also known as “Wonder,” Selasie Emmanuel, and Sulemana Osman.
According to a police statement, Seth Noi Tetteh was first arrested and detained at the Atadeka Police Station over his alleged involvement in multiple robbery incidents. During interrogation, he reportedly admitted to participating in robberies in several areas, including Afienya, Atadeka, Apollonia, Spintex Road, Airport Residential Area, Community 18, Ashaiman, Mataheko and Oyibi, acting together with accomplices.
Further investigations led officers to a hideout at Kasoa Ofankor, where Selasie Emmanuel and Sulemana Osman were arrested on December 26. A search of the premises resulted in the recovery of a pump-action gun, a Bruni pistol, one BB cartridge and three rounds of ammunition, which have been retained as exhibits to support ongoing investigations.
Police say all three suspects remain in custody as efforts continue to dismantle the wider criminal network and track down additional accomplices linked to the robbery operations.
