Kpandai Rerun: NPP’s Nyindam Edges Ahead in Tight Race — Global InfoAnalytics
A new opinion poll conducted by Global InfoAnalytics ahead of the Kpandai parliamentary rerun suggests that the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Matthew Nyindam is holding a narrow lead in an increasingly competitive race.
The survey, released on Sunday, December 14, 2025, shows Nyindam polling 50% support among likely voters, just four percentage points ahead of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, Daniel Nsala Wakpal, who secured 46%.
Independent contender Donkor Eric Nipani is projected to receive about 1% of the vote, while 3% of respondents remain undecided.
According to Global InfoAnalytics, the contest remains too close to call, as Nyindam’s advantage falls within the poll’s ±3.9% margin of error. The data also indicates voter fluidity, with roughly 2% of Nyindam’s previous supporters switching allegiance to Wakpal, and an equal proportion of Wakpal’s earlier backers moving in the opposite direction.
A key factor boosting Nyindam’s numbers appears to be a notable shift from the independent candidate’s base. The poll shows that about 28% of Donkor Eric Nipani’s former supporters now favour the NPP candidate, helping to give him a slight edge.
The findings point to a highly competitive rerun, where turnout and grassroots mobilisation could prove decisive. The Kpandai parliamentary rerun is scheduled for December 30, 2025.
