Bryan Acheampong’s team dismisses Global InfoAnalytics poll
Aide to NPP flagbearer hopeful Dr. Bryan Acheampong, Pius Enam Hadzide, has played down the significance of a recent Global InfoAnalytics survey that places former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia far ahead in the party’s flagbearer race.
The poll, released on August 21, showed Dr. Bawumia with 52% delegate support, followed by Kennedy Agyapong with 17% and Dr. Acheampong with 3%.
Hadzide, however, questioned the credibility of such surveys, suggesting they could be used as “psychological operations” by political rivals to shape public perception.
“Many of these researches are sometimes sponsored by politicians who seek to deceive unsuspecting audiences and create a misleading impression,” he argued.
Still, he noted that the Acheampong campaign welcomes all feedback and will use any identified gaps to strengthen its message.
“This is Dr. Acheampong’s first attempt at the flagbearership and he joined the race later than others, but we are confident he is the fastest-rising contender,” Hadzide stated.
The survey results highlight a wide gap between Bawumia and his competitors, raising questions about campaign strategies ahead of the NPP’s presidential primaries.
