Stephen Amoah Rallies NPP at National Delegates Conference
At the recent NPP National Delegates Conference, Dr. Stephen Amoah, the Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso, delivered a fiery speech in defense of his party, boldly asserting that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) remains Ghana’s best hope for progress.
“The NPP is far better than the NDC, and the future of this country lies with us,” he declared, drawing cheers from delegates.
Taking aim at former President John Mahama’s administration, Amoah described it as “slow, uninspiring, and lacking clear direction,” claiming that many Ghanaians already regret the opposition’s resurgence.
With the 2026 general elections in sight, the Nhyiaeso MP called for party unity and a focus on substantive, issue-based campaigning rather than propaganda.
“We must inspire hope with real solutions, not just catchy slogans. The youth are watching, and they demand action,” he emphasized.
His remarks have since ignited debate on social media, with NPP supporters rallying behind his call for a more assertive and visionary opposition strategy. Meanwhile, critics from the NDC have dismissed his comments as partisan rhetoric.
As political tensions rise ahead of the next election cycle, Amoah’s statements signal a hardening of positions within the NPP as it gears up to reclaim power.
